Stephen Worth, President/CEO

As the founder and President of Worth & Company, Inc., Stephen Worth began his career in the mechanical contracting field while a high school student in Doylestown, PA. In 1976, he established Worth & Company; and has since grown the organization into one of the leading mechanical systems provider in the Mid-Atlantic Region. While Stephen maintains his philosophy of “delivering what is promised when promised,” he continues to guide his company toward growth opportunities. Stephen is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and holds a Master Plumber license. He plays an active role in all aspects of the business and has been the driving force behind the success of Worth & Company. A longtime resident of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Stephen is active in numerous civic organizations, including the Doylestown Historical Society, Mercer Museum, and Bucks County Industrial Development Associations (BCIDA). Stephen is also a member of the Citizens Alliance of Pennsylvania (CAP).

Ann D. Worth, Chief of Staff

Ann Worth brings years of experience in the construction industry to Worth & Company. She began her career with Worth & Company in 1976, at the company’s inception. At that time, she served in various roles supporting the CEO. Prior to rejoining Worth in 2014, Ann served as the Director of Programs and Operations in Employment Services of ALTEC working with people with disabilities. Ann brings vast operational and executive experience to her position at Worth & Company.

Len Pellegrino, Vice President of Estimating

  • Oversees all aspects of estimating
  • Develops procedures for the preparation of estimates
  • Reviews contractual agreements and modifications to determine scope of work
  • Assists in maintaining a staff of estimators qualified to carry out project needs
  • Determines pre-construction strategies and guidelines

Len Pellegrino began his career at Worth & Company; where he presently leads the Estimating Department. Prior to his current position of VP of Estimating, Len served as Chief Estimator with progressive responsibility in logistics, purchasing, service, project management and sales. Len is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He is well-versed with extensive training and certifications in Mechanical Contracting, Trane Air Conditioning, Green Advantage, and is certified in the Leadership Rapport program.

Ellis J. Shafer (Chip), Senior Vice President of Mechanical Operations

  • Provides Mechanical System/Technical Support for the company’s Mechanical Projects and Project Managers

Chip Shafer brings over 40 years of vast industry experience to Worth & Company. Prior to joining the Worth team, Chip served as the Vice President of DualTemp Company, Inc., where he delivered mechanical system solutions to a wide range of customers in the retail, pharmaceutical, healthcare, industrial/process, educational and commercial market segments. His industry knowledge, keen insight for viable solutions, and design build capabilities prove a valuable asset for Worth & Company and our customers.
