BCMA Wyeth and Sharp Gallery
The Wyeth and Sharp Gallery at the Brandywine Conservancy & Museum of Art consisted of a full renovation to modernize the gallery space.
The BCMA Wyeth and Sharp Gallery renovation consisted of new mechanical, electrical, and safety upgrades, including a full renovation to modernize the gallery space.
Worth & Company’s mechanical construction team performed the plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment installations, including the installation of all new ductwork throughout the facility, and extensive coordination with specialty lighting which required integrated diffusers and sprinkler heads. This project’s complexity ranged from working within an active museum yet still accomplishing the renovation through several technical difficulties and challenges. Ductwork installation varied from a catwalk above the galleries, attic space along with in wall installation. This project had extensive coordination centered around a lite lab lighting housing which not only illuminated the gallery but acted as a supply plenum to which the supply air fed the gallery with conditioned air. The duct systems that were installed consisted of Supply, Return and exhaust duct systems. Worth worked closely with Whiting-Turner through a MEP spotlight meeting which ultimately facilitated a successful project.
As a team, Worth & Company successfully achieved project milestones, met the customers’ aggressive schedule, and maintained a high level of quality and professionalism throughout the duration of the project timeline.
