Worth & Company Receives Top Honors for Mechanical Contracting at ABC SEPA’s Annual Merit Construction “Awards of Excellence” Banquet

PIPERSVILLE, Pennsylvania (December 29, 2009) – On November 18, 2009, Worth & Company, Inc., a leading regional provider of mechanical contracting and maintenance services,  received multiple awards at the Southeast Pennsylvania Chapter of the Associated Builders & Contractors’ (“ABC SEPA”) 19th Annual Merit Construction “Awards of Excellence” Banquet.  Worth & Company received both the Excellence Award and the Merit Award in the “Specialty – Mechanical” category.  ABC SEPA is part of ABC, a national trade association representing over 23,000 general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and associates who believe in the merit philosophy.  ABC SEPA’s “Awards of Excellence” Banquet honors top performing Chapter members.

Worth & Company’s 2009 “Excellence Award” is related to its work at the James A. Michener Art Museum in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, where the Company provided mechanical systems consulting and contracting services for the new 5,000 square foot upper level gallery expansion named the Syd and Sharon Martin Wing, which will be home to major, nationally touring exhibitions.  Worth & Company’s “Merit Award” was related to its work at the Nazareth Area Middle School in Easton, Pennsylvania, where it  constructed and installed the school’s mechanical system and was responsible for the indoor air quality plan and factory sealing all duct and equipment.  This project was certified as LEED® Silver by the U.S. Green Building Council.
