PIPERSVILLE, Pennsylvania (October 27, 2009) – Worth & Company, Inc., a leading regional provider of mechanical contracting and maintenance services, has been recognized as one of the 2009 “Best Places to Work” by the Philadelphia Business Journal. This is the second time that the Company participated in the annual award contest which began in 2003. Over fifty companies in the Delaware Valley receive the designation. Winners’ rankings were revealed at an awards ceremony attended by company representatives on October 15, 2009.
The Philadelphia Business Journal’s “Best Places to Work” designation is largely based on the results of an online questionnaire which asks employees to rank their company on team effectiveness; trust with co-workers; alignment with goals; trust in senior leaders; and other human resources policies including respect, recognition, salary and benefits. The fifty top scoring companies receive the award and are then placed in categories by company size: small (10-50 employees); medium (51-100); large (101-1,000); and extra large (1,001 or more).
Said John Marrinucci, Chief Operating Officer of Worth & Company, “We are very honored to receive the Philadelphia Business Journal’s ‘Best Places to Work’ designation for the second year in a row. We are extremely happy that our employees value Worth & Company as much as we value their hard work and dedication.”
