Worth & Company Receives “Best Places to Work” Honor from the Philadelphia Business Journal

PIPERSVILLE, Pennsylvania (November 11, 2008) – Worth & Company, Inc., a leading regional provider of mechanical contracting and maintenance services, has been recognized as one of the 2008 “Best Places to Work” by the Philadelphia Business Journal.  This is the first time that the Company participated in the annual award contest which began in 2003. Only fifty companies in the Delaware Valley receive the designation.  Winners’ rankings were revealed at an awards ceremony attended by company representatives on October 15, 2008 at the Bell Atlantic Building in Center City, Philadelphia.

The Philadelphia Business Journal’s “Best Places to Work” designation is largely based on the results of an online questionnaire which asks employees to rank their company on team effectiveness; trust with co-workers; alignment with goals; trust in senior leaders; and other human resources policies including respect, recognition, salary and benefits.  The fifty top scoring companies receive the award and are then placed in categories by company size which include small (10 -50 employees); medium (51 – 100 employees); large (101 – 1,000 employees); and extra large (1,001 or more employees).
