We drive operational excellence and lower costs through this “best in class” process.

42% of total field labor costs on a mechanical systems project are related to materials handling. Because more human “touches” result in higher labor cost, less efficiency and greater waste, Worth & Company strives to identify waste and ruthlessly eliminate it. To better serve our customers and offer the best value possible, “One-Touch” Materials Handling is one of numerous best in class processes that we use to lower costs and drive operational excellence, even under the tightest schedules.

Worth & Company’s Construction Team employs “plan, prep and install” methodology on every mechanical systems project that includes HVAC, plumbing and sheet metal. Our experienced project teams develop Construction Project Plans for all jobs, ensuring the workplace contains only what is needed, when and where it’s needed.

Worth & Company pre-fabricates and pre-assembles mechanical systems in our clean Six Sigma/Lean factory environment to customers’ exact specifications. These pre-assembled system components are packaged, taken off the production floor and put on a materials handling device for immediate Just-in-Time (JIT) transport to the job site. Our materials handlers then carefully take the pre-assembled mechanical system components from the truck to the location specified in the Plan for immediate installation, efficiently handling the components one time only.
